The Comments Debate – I’d Rather Dance!

Written by on in Mumbai

Namaste, Dear Visitors,

I have been researching the notion of allowing comments on blog posts (for this is a blog-site itself).

There are at least two points of view on this issue, and this article represents itself as a fairly thorough explanation. Perhaps it will inform or persuade you or me to reconsider a point of view.

Although blog comments aren’t my thing by any stretch of imagination (imagine if I said something extra-provocative by accident, and half a billion Indians decided to weigh in on the subjects raised)… I can think of more-enjoyable ways to use my time than trying to reply to every one of those 500 million valid opinions/comments.

Of course, one need not be limited to a single point of view when considering large topics like fashion. There is in fact list after list and one could spend inordinate amounts of time simply gathering sketchy impressions of such a vast online literary landscape! (Rather like exploring the umbrella market in crazy-busy Mumbai–with a typical monsoon work-day downpour or two.)

There are at least two points of view on this issue, and this article represents itself as a fairly thorough review and one need not look much farther for other opinions on this sort of thing.

I will let others mull and debate over these topics. Meanwhile I’m just having a little bit of fun here. I really hope that you are as well! I’ve often said, ‘rather than argue, I’m going to walk my dog for a while.’

As you can see from this candid snap of Cousin Koena, we Mitras have well-known sincere animal compassion (especially for fluffy doggie puppies).

Namaste,
