Namaste, Dear Music Lover,
So, given our predicament at the nexus of so much coping, challenges near/far, and we hope, great plans and follow-through in a world of hurts and changes (and our growth is key), what other techniques, tips and strategies give us the tools and resources for doing our very best?

Proven ways to proceed are to be more creative, flexible and accountable to ourselves, and in the latter regard, here are some ways to handle 4 main issues, and needs they imply:
1. Personal Accountability

- Face up to the “Accountability Mirror”: From U.S. self-help author David Goggins: Put sticky notes on one’s bathroom mirror with specific, honest goals for “face-to-face confrontations” with self objectives.
- Time-Blocking with “Integrity Checks”: Don’t just schedule tasks; at the end of each day, tick-mark them: 🟢 green (done), 🟡 yellow (started), or 🔴 red (ignored). These visual cues help one to see where more follow-through is needed. It also keeps one from worrying about or churning on any struggles/matters that still need work.
- Micro-Journaling: Use tools like Day One or a simple notebook journal and answer questions nightly, e.g.: “Did I do my best to [reach Goal X]?” and “What delays/stops my progress/winning?”
2. Flexibility & Resilience

- Scenario Mapping: Instead of one rigid plan, create “If-Then” scripts. “If this project gets delayed, then I will pivot to Task B.” This reduces the “shocks” of substantial changes needed to finish. Photo example: collidu.com.
- The 10-10-10 Rule: When a challenge arises: Will it matter in 10 minutes? 10 months? 10 years? This helps us to stay flexible and effective by severing untimely preoccupation with matters that may be better handled with fresh eyes and minds in the future, perhaps with new resources or abilities that we’re gearing (or growing) up to address.
- Cognitive Reframing: View “change” as “data.” Instead of saying “This isn’t working,” (which only diminishes one’s efforts and/or incremental progress) try asking, “What is this new situation telling me about my current strategy?” (Then give the right amount of consideration and resources to the causes and solutions in turn, so that next time we pose that ask, we’re sure to see fewer failures, and at least some proven progress.) 3. Creative Problem-Solving

- The “Oblique Strategies” Method: Use prompts or cards (like musician/writer Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies, shown above) to force your brain out of linear thinking, if you hit a wall.
- Analogous Thinking: See how a completely different industry or how nature solves a similar problem (e.g., how a forest manages “hurting and growth”) and apply that data and any apt solutions to your own predicament.
- Mind Mapping Tools: Use Miro or MindMeister to visually connect disparate ideas. Sometimes the “best” way forward can be found in paths between any hurdles. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
4. Energy Management (Tuning Up One’s Engine)

- Decision Audits: Decision fatigue can lead to partial or complete failure to follow through. Use your morning for “deep work” and afternoon “creative play” to address unresolved items. By address, we don’t necessarily mean to get everything done so quickly that we risk getting off track or backsliding.
- The “Rest as Fuel” Mindset: View our recoveries not as absence of work, but as prerequisites for excellence. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Please note, Dear Music Lover, nothing can stop one from doing one’s own series of interactive sessions with any of several remarkably powerful AI LLMs (large learning models, also termed Generative AI) and exploring the endless resources available on the World Wide Web, save for a lack of a simple smartphone or other computer, either personally owned or borrowed at a school or library (or perhaps from a generous friend or family member). Our purpose here at AntaraMitra.com is to help empower you to find your own path to musical greatness, however that manifests, whether you have been studying and practising singing for years, for only a few moments, or you really just enjoy listening to movie soundtracks.
Whatever your levels of interest and desire are, no one else can tell you what exact mix of learning and practice will serve you best in your efforts to pursue your dreams. Only you know your heart and what you need in order to feel fulfilled and living life in the ways that appeal to your unique style and desires. Each person, each singer has her or his experiences and individual talents, interests and passions for particular modes of expression and musical genres.
Despite the seemingly endless competitions, there will never be one sole “best in the universe” human being. We as a human species have yet to learn the supermassive extent of even the visible, tangible, star-laden universe, which itself is apart from yet mysteriously also connected in largely unknown ways to the dark or invisible expanses of so-called black holes, quasars, etc. are more than elusive, they are out of scope for most of us not equipped with enormous celestial telescopes and other instruments.
However, let’s have a cursory glance at an AI summary of a U.S. NASA surmisal of the latter topic:
Black holes, quasars, and other “invisible” or marginally visible entities represent the extreme, high-energy side of our universe, where conventional physics breaks down and immense gravity dominates. While they do not emit light, these objects are identified by their profound effects on surrounding matter, acting as cosmic “engines” that power some of the most luminous phenomena in the night sky.
We shared the previous italicised paragraph not to amaze or confuse anyone, but rather to touch upon the magnitude (now there’s a common astronomical term—generally used to convey the comparative sizes of stars) of what is often considered the unknowable.
What we surely cannot convey to anyone as a modest WWW blog-site is the sheer IMMENSITY of however we could choose to say it: our galaxy, the visible/invisible universe, or however else those studying astronomy and astrophysics might say it.
It’s all simply beyond human comprehension. This is why some say it’s ludicrous to even attempt to understand the nature and scope of “reality” as we think we understand it! But let’s be real, anyhow. At least we can be as real as our human capacities allow us to be.
Ludicrous or impossible/impractical as these types of discussions or solo contemplations may be, what some people insist is that, like exploring the effects and insights that one can access via use of psychoactive drugs, it may be somewhat useful to explore the expanses of the universe and all of its minuscule or astronomical properties, regions and interactions to make use of every tool or technique at our disposal. Now, abuse or even accidental misuse of our resources can colour or undermine the presumed accuracy or effectiveness of any way to look at the night sky and its endless realms.

Furthermore, affinity or adherence to certain extreme human points of view (generally, free-thinking or ultraliberal versus close-minded or ultraconservative) can also seriously limit one’s ability to make full sense of whatever data/imagery is available. Because if one’s scope is severely restricted, so also will one’s perception and perspective be restricted and thus limited. In other words, a prejudiced mind is handicapped by its inability to consider other viewpoints or available evidence.
From the above star-gazing image/video: The observable universe is a staggering 93 billion light-years in diameter, or roughly 46.5 billion light-years in radius from Earth. It contains roughly 100 to 200 billion galaxies, with the Milky Way itself spanning 100,000 light-years. The total, unobservable universe may be vastly larger or even infinite. Surely we each have room to grow!
In your quest for whatever personal and professional success you want, Dear Music Lover, I want to offer a simple gesture of moral support: you can probably achieve more than you think possible. Remember to stay focused on what you’re currently able to do, not what others can do. In order to reach or surpass the accomplishments of others, you will most likely have to work at least as hard and for as long or longer than they did to reach a similar place.
May your journey be as safe as it’s intriguing. Also remember that whatever heights of success and/or failure each of us achieve or find us on our own path, it’s up to us to decide whether we are willing to accept our reality and work to better it, or to be in denial of it and struggle to overcome: first, our prejudices and false beliefs, and then whatever external circumstances we must also face.

Namaste, Dear Music Lover,
